and it really is wonderful having friends all over the world...this time it is Thomas who contacted an old friend of his and we already agreed back home to have dinner on our first evening....and as he is married to a mexican lady we could get a climpse of real Mexico already....
we of course opted for a real Mexican restaurant and were not disappointed at all....
there is like in every town a Fressstrasse....here it is called avenida Juarez....one restaurant after the other, one bar and one club in between (and of course here you do have a starbucks as well...but can you imagine- I have not been inside yet!!!!)
the restaurant we went to is called Mi ciudad (meine Stadt) and we had Sangria (but there must have been something different inside as I really felt dizzy just after half a glass...) and the typical chalupas (like tortillas but open and on top green or red spicy sauce) and then I had chilis filled with cheese, corn, shrimp and banados in bean sauce...very delicious....
after that we wanted to go into a bar but unfortunately Mme Mexico turned out to be a zicke and no bar was good enough for her....no comment...
but I would recommend
La Habana....cool music and cool location
The Prince....totally new and very in and very chic.......
